Today we continued exploring transport and how objects move. We watched a short clip about building a boat and discussed reason why people use boats as transport.
The children then had the challenge of building a boat that would hold 2 lego people and move across the tub of water without sinking. All children were thoroughly engaged and used their knowledge of water proof materials from previous science learning earlier in the year as well as size, shape and strength of different materials to create their boats. Children showed resilience in altering their boats if they didn’t succeed the first time.
