In Science we investigated how sound vibrations travel and how different materials make different pitches.
We use a coat hanger with two pieces of string attached, we tapped the coat hanger with different materials and noticed how the sound vibrations travelled through the coat hanger to the string and to our ears. We noticed that soft materials made a deeper pitch than hard materials. When we tapped the coat hanger with metal the pitch was the highest.
