Today we had our first attempt at a form of art called gelli printing. Using a gelli plate (a soft silicone plate) the students created beautiful monotypes. Each print is unique and features colours and patterns chosen by the students. Two prints were obtained from each batch, a main print and a ghost print.

The gelli printing process is repeated twice after the first print, and additional colours and patterns are added each time. Here are below some examples of the children’s creations:
