Today we had the RAA visit to help us learn about road safety. It was a great learning opportunity and all the children enjoyed the session. Some of the key learnings the children took away were;

*always hold an adults hand when crossing the road

*stand on the footpath when waiting to cross the road

*check if it is safe to cross the road by STOP LOOK LISTEN THINK

*look right, left and behind (over shoulders) to check for vehicles before crossing

*wear bright, visible clothing so driver can see you

* your seat belt needs to rest on your shoulder and not be twisted

*booster seats are recommend u til children are 145cm tall.

Children were given a  bright bag tag and an activity book to take home and share with families.

If you would like any information about road safety please come and see me as we have some spare, booklets and information about booster seat heights.
