Last week for visual arts we conducted an experiment with food colouring in the primary colours (red, yellow, blue) to see how well combining them would create the secondary colours of orange, green and purple. It worked very successfully. Then we created some artworks using only primary and secondary colours, which we will be using this week for a maths activity about fractions.
For HASS last week, we located countries on globes that were close to Australia that we had not yet learned about in the last few weeks. We then used Google Earth to explore those countries in search of anything interesting that we could share with each other. The children found many things that they enjoyed sharing.
